Every legacy CH1 question (2008-spec WJEC modular Chemistry, Jan 2009 – Jun 2016) hand-sorted onto the 2015 Unit 1 topics and re-laid-out as narrow single-topic packs — cover, spec recap, crib sheet, whole questions with full marks preserved. Topics 1.4 bonding & IMF, 1.5 solid structures, and 1.6 periodicity are pulled from legacy CH2 (where the 2008 spec assessed them) rather than CH1, reflecting how the 2015 spec consolidated foundational chemistry into Unit 1. (Some legacy CH1 questions were dropped because they sat outside the 2015 Unit 1 spec — bond enthalpy and reaction rates moved to Unit 2, while detailed atomic emission spectra and radioactive decay no longer feature.)

Every legacy CH2 question (2008-spec WJEC modular Chemistry, 2010–2016) mapping to 2015 Unit 2 topics: thermochemistry, rates, organic nomenclature, hydrocarbons, halogenoalkanes, alcohols and instrumental analysis. CH2 questions on bonding, IMF, VSEPR, solid structures and periodicity have been pulled into the Unit 1 grid above (Topics 9–14), where the 2015 spec now places them.

Every legacy CH5 question (2008-spec WJEC modular Chemistry, Jun 2010–Jun 2016) mapping to 2015 Unit 3 topics: redox & electrochemistry, p-block & d-block inorganic, kinetics, thermodynamics, equilibria and acid-base. CH5 was the A2 physical / inorganic paper that maps directly onto the new-spec Unit 3, with each pack containing every question on its topic from seven legacy papers. (The corresponding legacy CH4 paper covered the A2 organic content and feeds the Unit 4 grid below.)

Every relevant legacy CH4 question (2008-spec WJEC modular Chemistry A2 organic, 2010–2016) mapping to 2015 Unit 4 spec topics. Aromatic substitution dominates the legacy corpus (28 questions); carbonyls, spectroscopy, amines and synthesis routes round out the unit. Note: legacy CH4 didn’t dedicate questions to stereoisomerism (4.1), phenol-specific (4.2), or amino acids/proteins (4.6) at depth — those topics are introduced in the 2015 spec without legacy practice.
