Digital Technology specification

WJEC A-level Digital Technology

Specification

Digital Technology replaced ICT at A-level. Below you’ll find papers for the current WJEC Digital Technology qualification (Unit 1 from 2023, Unit 3 from 2024), plus the predecessor WJEC ICT papers, which are still handy for extra practice. Units 2 and 4 are non-exam assessment, so there are no papers for those.

Beyond the papers above

Digital Technology is a young qualification, so the bank of real papers is still small — Unit 1 has been sat since 2023 and Unit 3 since 2024. Each fresh summer series adds another sitting, so it’s worth checking the WJEC past paper library for the latest. The legacy ICT papers above are still useful for transferable topics, but always cross-check against the current Digital Technology specification for what’s actually examinable. Units 2 and 4 are coursework (NEA), so there are no exam papers for those — lean on the official guidance for teaching instead.
